One Step Forward Consultancy (OSF) is a Social Work Consultancy Company, which focuses primarily on safeguarding and child protection issues relating to children and families.
This involves providing Social Work Assessments, Preparation of Court Reports for Care Proceedings and undertaking complex Child Protection Investigations, Immigration Services to the United Kingdom (UK) in the completion of Initial and Core Assessments for Children in Need and Looked After Children, Viability Assessments, Social Enquiry Reports, Contact Assessments, Residence Order Assessments, Kinship Assessments, Parenting Assessments, Immigration Assistance and Community Redevelopment In addition, OSF provides education and training in social work by designing Professional Development Programs.
Director of the company Patricia McKenzie-Thomas; is a qualified Child Protection Practitioner in the UK, who is well networked in the Child Protection and Child Care Services.
Mrs. McKenzie Thomas is passionate about bringing change that will improve the lives of children, through working with agencies, organisations, and professionals. Further within and hosting various International Children’s welfare events, with a special focus on utilizing Jamaica as a catalyst in the Caribbean.
We at One Step Forward have made our footprints into the Caribbean Social Care bodies and networks to bring to you not only the ‘Every Child Matters in the Caribbean Project’ but the successful International Safeguarding Conferences of 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Further, the placements of students and volunteers in the key social work agencies in Jamaica.
As a Social Worker, I continue with my colleagues to be dedicated to this profession and wish for hands to reach across the world in the benefit of even greater success scheduled for May 2018.
I am encouraged by the positive energies and connections being made both in the UK and the Caribbean changes being made in the networking of our Fundraising Event will go part of the way in ensuring that our Every Child Matters in The Caribbean Project succeeds.
