Patricia is a qualified Social Work Practitioner for over 20 years in the United Kingdom (UK). Her Social Work and Immigration experience has been both in the UK and in the Caribbean, she has completed commissioned pieces of work from the UK of complex Child Protection and Family Assessments

Mr Mor Dioum

Mor Dioum  is the Director of VCF – The Victoria Climbié Foundation UK.  He co‑founded VCF with Mr and Mrs Climbié (Victoria’s parents) to campaign for improvement in child protection policies and practices and to ensure effective links and coordination between statutory agencies, care services and BME communities. Mor states “Together with One Step Forward Consultancy, VCF aims to realise the vision of ‘every child matters’ in Jamaica and across the Caribbean”.

Ms Carla Francis-Edie

Engaged for 3 years by Jamaica’s child protection system as the Chief Executive Officer with oversight of 8 government residential child care facilities and monitoring 47 privately operated facilities.
She also established the Multi-Agency Partnership in conjunction with the Jamaica police force to prevent secondary trauma to child abuse victims and facilitated alternative placements.

Mr Khori Hyde

Mr Khori Hyde Director and Mentor of Y.O.U.N.G and Jamaican Inspired UK, made
a presentation on the Socialisation vs Globalisation (making social adjustments for positive global outcomes)

Mr Nathaniel Peat

Nathaniel Peat is a social entrepreneur who founded at the age of 25, the non-profit organization, The Safety Box, which uses grassroots methods to interrupt violent behaviour, build entrepreneurship and foster achievement in young people using the alternative curriculum in British schools. He is a regular commentator on television and radio on youth and education

Ms Celeste Hope – Hutchinson

Celeste is a partner, who within her attendance as a speaker at our International Safeguarding Children’s Conference (ISCC) in Jamaica 2015 and 2016
