Where will we be placed as volunteers?

The organizations where we will place participants are approved Agencies, Government Bodies, and Schools. This is a perfect opportunity to support the EVERY CHILD MATTERS IN THE CARIBBEAN PROJECT by exchanging valuable knowledge in volunteer work/student placements.

As a participant of this programme ‘THE QUALITY OF LIFE’ to volunteer and be placed in working with young people and organizations in Jamaica.
We have created a programme where there will be days of FUN in the SUN and valuable exchange of knowledge as well as working with children and young people.

Can I make my own hotel/accommodation arrangements?

Yes, you can make your own arrangements. However, you will be responsible for transportation to and from the hotel, with your conference entrance the refreshments and lunch are included.

Can I stay longer?

Yes, you can arrange additional nights to stay after the Conference to enjoy Jamaica and to continue your volunteer placement or to network with professionals or to spend time with relatives and friends. For additional night’s stay, just make your request so that it can be booked for you.

I would love to attend but I am challenged by the cost?

The instalments are designed to make it affordable and enable you to engage in this our fourth conference and be involved in our outreach activities. These will include a volunteer programme which will see social work professionals and students from institutions in the USA, UK and other countries, visiting Jamaican social service agencies and institutions to discuss and share best practices.

Can I attend alone?

Of course, you will meet other like-minded people in attendance at this unique conference you will network and experience helping young people and be able to make a difference in the lives of children in Jamaica and in your own life. You will make lifelong friends and you will have the opportunity to explore some of the attractions in Jamaica.

I would like to bring my children is this possible?

Children are welcome at ISCC and Children’s Fun and Sports Day, they can be involved in sharing their views from a child’s perspective and opportunity to gain valuable knowledge about children living in another country will be a positive experience for your child. There is so much to do in Jamaica, it would be wise to extend your stay longer than the conference dates and look for additional activities which would be suitable for their enjoyment.

I have a dietary need

Please communicate allergies and dietary requirements at the time of booking so that arrangements can be made for you as required.
